Scent Games
Scent and ScentsAbility 1; The art of the Sniff!
Dogs LOVE this class where their NOSE does all the talking! Dogs of all breeds and ages will have a blast using their talented nose to search out a drop of essential oil on half a Q-tip that is hidden in a container. Even dogs who are not so thrilled to be around other dogs can participate. To get a glimpse of what it is all about check out this great video! Catch the Craze by Laurie Luck, KPA CTP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkXtAup14Sg This unique six week class starts the foundation for a fun new pastime for you and your dog. You can just use the knowledge gained in class to tire out your dog in a good way or compete for titles through one or all of the three titling organizations! Each of the three organizations have different requirements for competitions, making this a ever changing sport! Class size is limited to no more than 6 dogs and their humans. This class is for dogs 6 months or older. Vaccination requirement: photocopy proof of vaccinations or a distemper/parvo titer test. Any dog coughing, vomiting or with diarrhea need to been see by a vet and stay home from class until cleared by the vet. Their human is highly encouraged to still come to class! Weekly equipment: a crate with bedding, water and bowl, lots of high value food treats in a treat pouch, a plain buckle collar or harness and a six foot leather leash. Prerequisite: Dogs and humans must have a working knowledge of clicker training or instructors approval. Class fee is 110 dollars plus a 25 dollar equipment fee to be paid to the at the first class for a 9 item scent kit. Classes start:

Scent and ScentsAbility 2; The art of the Blind Hide In this 4 week class you and your ‘Sniffer Dog’ will learn all about ‘The Nose Knows’, the essential skill of trusting your dog. “Blind’ hides are the name of the game in this second level class. Prerequisite: Scent and ScentsAbility 1; The art of the Sniff! or instructors approval. Class fee is 90 dollars. Vials of scent will be available for purchase at class. Scent and ScentsAbility 3; Out of the Box! In this 4 week class you and your ‘Knowledgeable Nose’ will discover how to search ‘Out of the Box’, the essential skill of Interior hides and be introduced to Exterior searches in this level 3 class. Prerequisite: Scent and ScentsAbility 2; The art of the Blind Hide or instructors approval. Class fee is 90 dollars. Vials of scent will be available for purchase at class. Scent and ScentsAbility 4; The Auto Nose In this 4 week class you and your ‘Boxless Nose’ will continue honing your Interior hides skill and discover how to search Vehicles in this level 4 class. Prerequisite: Scent and ScentsAbility 3; Out of the Box! or instructors approval. Class fee is 90 dollars. Vials of scent will be available for purchase at class. Treibball
Treibball 1; The art of Ball Herding for your dog! No matter if your dog is a frustrated herding dog with no sheep herd of his own or a bored house pet, ball herding is an exciting new sport from Germany that YOUR dog can do! The game consists of the dog using her nose or shoulders to drive exercise balls into a goal in a limited time. Treibball uses a fun combination of obedience and herding and it takes thinking, communication and coordination of the dog human team to get the driving done and all those balls (sheep!) in the goal. Additional equipment: List will be given at the first class. Prerequisite: Dogs and humans must have a working knowledge of clicker training or instructors approval. It is helpful if your dog knows a solid ‘front’ and has done ‘rear awareness’ training. Class fee is 120 dollars. Classes start:

Treibball 2; The art of Distance Control! This continuing class for Treibball foundation graduates is going to be all about control and distance – the keys to Treibball! In this six week class you and your dog continue on your quest for the elusive ‘chalice’ of directional and self control. Equipment needed: 8 ‘targets’, 8 objects to stand in for balls, 2 ball holders (hard Frisbees work well), 2 small towels and 2 gym balls. Freestyle
Freestyle Foundations: In this exciting 6 week* class you will be introduced to skills such as; the five basic positions, paw movements, spins, bow and more! Class size is limited to no more than 8 dogs and their humans. Availability of this class is on hold.
Freestyle Continued: This 6 week class* will help you continue on your journey of Freestyle fun! Learn more movements and jump into the skills of song choice, song editing and choreography. Class size is limited to no more than 8 dogs and their humans. Availability of this class is on hold.
Tricks
Tricks 101 In this 6 week* Tricks for Fun class you will get the low down on some tricks that use your dogs nose and mouth! We’ll introduce you and your dog to: nose targeting, tell me a secret, roll over, spin/ twirl, bow, close the door and the multi piece trick of wrapping up in a blanket. And the silliest trick of all, DOGzilla!! And who knows, there might even be time for a bonus trick or two! Please bring a blanket for your dog to lie on. Class size is limited to no more than 8 dogs and their humans. Availability of this class is on hold.
Tricks 102 In this 6 week* Tricks for Fun class you will get the 411 on some tricks that use your dogs feet and mouth! We’ll introduce you and your dog to: foot targeting, shake, wave, bow, ring a bell, file their own nails, and the multi piece trick of picking up and putting toys in a basket. And the silliest trick of all, DOGzilla!! And who knows, there might even be time for a bonus trick or two! Please have and bring to the first class two smaller dog toys. Class size is limited to no more than 8 dogs and their humans. Availability of this class is on hold.
